Distribution center notes

Rural King operates two primary distribution centers, both in or near Mattoon, IL — a reflection of the company’s centralized supply chain model serving its Midwest-heavy store footprint. In 1999, a new 210,000-square-foot store, warehouse, and corporate office complex was built across the highway from the original location. In 2017, Rural King purchased the Cross County Mall in Mattoon, and in January 2019 relocated its Mattoon flagship store into the former Sears anchor space, converting the prior 4216 Dewitt Avenue facility into a distribution center while expanding the corporate headquarters into the vacated store space.
