About

Ford Motor Company (NYSE: F) is one of the world’s largest automobile manufacturers, headquartered at 1 American Road, Dearborn, Michigan — home to a brand-new facility dedicated on November 16, 2025. The new Ford World Headquarters is a four-story, 2.1 million sq ft campus designed by Snøhetta, located three miles from the previous Henry Ford II World Center (the “Glass House”), and represents Ford’s first headquarters relocation in 70 years — the same 1 American Road address inherited from the Glass House as an honorific. Construction on portions of the new building continues through 2027, with full employee transition from the Glass House expected by mid-2026.

Founded June 16, 1903 by Henry Ford in Detroit, Ford is led by CEO Jim Farley and Executive Chairman Bill Ford — Henry Ford’s great-grandson. Ford operates through three units: Ford Blue (ICE and hybrid vehicles including the F-150), Ford Pro (commercial), and Ford Model e (EVs). FY2025 saw record revenues of $187.3 billion (up 1%), but a net loss of $8.2 billion — hit by $4.8 billion in EV division losses and a $2 billion aluminum supplier fire impact — with adjusted EBIT of $6.8 billion. Ford guides for $8–10 billion adjusted EBIT in 2026, with ~$2 billion in tariff headwinds on aluminum for F-150 trucks.

How to Escalate a Complaint

  1. Call 1-800-392-3673 and ask for a Case Manager — not a standard representative. A Case Manager has authority to engage Ford’s Regional Customer Service Manager (RCSM), who can personally inspect your vehicle at the dealership and override dealer warranty denials.
  2. Request a Regional Customer Service Manager (RCSM) inspection. An RCSM physically visiting the dealer is Ford’s most powerful first-party escalation tool and resolves many warranty disputes that dealers have refused.
  3. Send a certified letter to Ford Customer Relationship Center, P.O. Box 6248, Dearborn, MI 48126 — include VIN, mileage, all repair order numbers, and all prior case numbers. Essential for Lemon Law and arbitration records.
  4. File with BBB AutoLine at 1-800-955-5100 — independent mediation and arbitration specifically for auto warranty disputes. Ford is contractually obligated to participate.
  5. File with NHTSA at nhtsa.gov/report-a-safety-problem or 1-888-327-4236 for safety defects — complaints contribute to mandatory recall investigations.
  6. Pursue your state’s Lemon Law. Most states require 3–4 repair attempts for the same defect within the warranty period, or 30+ days out of service. Send written notice to Ford before filing. Many states have an 18–24 month filing window — act quickly. Lemon Law attorneys typically work on contingency with Ford paying attorney fees.
  7. File with your state AG for deceptive dealer practices and Ford Credit financing fraud.
  8. File with the CFPB and FTC for Ford Credit billing fraud, unauthorized charges, and deceptive auto loan and lease practices.
